This book is hard to put down! It was like looking into a window of the underground world that most people, even those in the Information Security Industry, are unaware exists. The technical aspects in thoe book gave the storyline a credibility that other books lack. The characters were colorful and well developed. The book opened my eyes to the very real threat of identity theft and how identities are “harevsted” and used as currency on the blackmarket by organized crime and malicious entities such as terrorist organizationa. Great read that will not diassapoint you.

The Garmin Portable Friction Mount is perfect – doesn’t get in the way of looking out the rear view mirror – stays put – is easy to set up and remove so can’t be seen when leaving the car – Charles (the voice of the GPS) loves it.

I won’t go into a long review here– I read mostly non-fiction because fiction typically bores me. About 10-20% of the time, though, I like to switch to fiction to enjoy “lighter” reading than the non-fiction I typically read. I picked up Catcher in the Rye in a bookstore on a whim the other day. It really, really blew me away! I NEVER laugh out loud when I’m reading, and I must’ve literally laughed outloud several dozen times when reading this book. It was SO funny! And just brilliantly written, enjoyable to read, fun but serious at times, etc. Just a great book, a classic, and one that I should’ve read earlier in life (I’m 37 now). I will likely re-read it every few years just to remind myself how much of a page-turner it was…

The novel The Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger is a powerful novel chronicling the life of an upper class teenage boy, Holden Caulfield during the early 1950’s. Around this time, more and more people were conforming to society, dressing the same, acting the same, and through Holden, Salinger challenges those ideals. The book opens when Holden is expelled from yet another boarding school, because of his awful grades. He finds the world around him to be fake, and those people who demand him to conform to be phonies, not true to themselves. He sets off for New York City on his own, in a journey of self-exploration where he learns about love, life, and sex. As a troubled youth, he is a constant pessimist about the world around him, seeing it to be a mass conformist nation, without any true individuals, except for himself of course. His early life is troubled, and his younger brother’s death shook him badly, and effected him deeply. Some of the pessimism comes from his older brother, a writer who in Holden’s opinion became a prostitute for Hollywood, abandoning his own writing to work for the movies, selling out in the worst way.His parents seem vastly absent in the novel, perhaps suggesting that his parents are not role models for him, and while they may love him, they do not truly understand him. Without this adult guidance he mistrusts the adult world, a cynical view which pervades the whole book. This kind of teenage rebellion is something that the youth of today can easily relate to. Holden himself is an easily relatable character, and modern teens will find something of his character similar in themselves, whether that’s his cynicism, or his constant thoughts about sex. He is confused by sex, but still finds it intriguing, and of course wants very badly to experience it. He goes on a date, with an old friend, and while he tries very badly to be charming, he cannot stand how absolutely fake he feels she is, and this leaves him disappointed with the world in gene

I just got the SpinScrub Steam Vac and LOVE it! I saw a noticeable difference in my carpets after one use and not to mention using very little detergent that it came with. I have Berber carpet in my apartment. I had not cleaned my carpet for 3 years. (I know it’s gross) But I used the Hoover exactly how the instructions say and my carpets in the HIGH traffic areas looked like new. I had a Bissel before this and hated it. I hope you love your new SteamVac like I do.
Taxation of Land Values
Artemis Fowl was the recipient of the accusation in the title of this review, but even though he is a thief, he is also much more. The twelve-year-old genius has decided to use his intelligence to pursue a life of crime, so we find an unusual situation. A story with an evil main character is not a completely new concept; Jean-Baptiste Grenouille in the outstanding “Perfume: The Story of a Murderer” or Serge A. Storms in the series of books by Tim Dorsey come to mind. If we go into a different media, then Tony Soprano is one of the most famous examples in our time. What is novel though, is using this concept in a book targeted to young adults, and this is certainly a reason for controversy. I have to say though that the final product is so good, that the good aspects of this effort more than overcome this “drawback”.
Artemis Fowl descends from a prestigious family of billionaires that a few years ago suffered a reversal of fortune. His father has disappeared and is presumed dead and her mother has gone crazy with grief. Artemis is decided to return his family to where it is supposed to be and crafts a plan designed to do just this. To try to accomplish his goal, he uses the help of Butler, a mountain of a man, expert in combat, and who as his name suggests is Artemis’ butler, and Juliet, Butler’s sister. The plan involves kidnapping a fairy and then getting a ransom in gold, which is a lot harder than it sounds.
The story involves a myriad of creatures besides fairies, such as goblins, elves, dwarves, centaurs and trolls. These variety allows the author to create several characters within each one of these groups that are interesting, peculiar and endearing. But the creative process does not stop there, since the author uses some of these peculiar characteristics, as well as some acute comments to make us laugh us loud in the middle of the action. In my opinion the funniest scene in the book involved Mulch, a dwarf, and Butler, you will know what I am talking abou
