I bought an Iomega 2Tb NAS (just like this, only lower capacity) two years ago. The motherboard died.
Shouldn’t be a big problem, should it? Well. Iomega’s “policy” does not including selling replacement parts. It’s out of warranty, so they told me to take a hike.
My $1300 “peace of mind” equipment is now a piece of scrap metal. And I still have to recover the data, which hopefully will succeed. My lesson, buy from Iomega if you can amortize the cost over the warranty period. They have no concept of standing behind their products.
And this is for the product whose purpose is to provide safety that your data will always be there!!

I enjoy well-written fantasy books, like the Charlaine Harris’ Southern Vampire series, books 1-7 (let’s forget books 8 -9 happened) and Patricia Briggs’ Mercy Thompson series. Those books feature female protagonists who have dimension, character, quirkiness, and occasional flaws. The characters are well-fleshed out and have internal conflicts, as any real person would. They aren’t perfect and they don’t live with perfect people.
Bella Swan, the main character in the Twilight, is a one-dimensional, whiny, sullen, bratty teenager. Her only flaw seems to be that she doesn’t fit in the town and that maybe she’s just too darn pensive and too darn pretty. She’s just too darn perfect. (I’m being facetious….) I won’t divulge much of the plot (little as there is) but during much of this book, Bella is either feeling like she’s too good for Forks (the small town she’s relocated to) or she’s fawning over Edward, the “mysterious” Cullen boy.
The author fails to inject any sense of character into her characters. They come across as flat, predictable and formulaic. Every vampire character is described as beautiful, attractive, alluring, etc. The school kids are stereotypical school kids. No one seems to have any real flaws, physical or otherwise. The “good” vampires are even – gasp – pseudo-VEGETARIANS…! (They feed on animals, but not people.) And of course, everyone knows the joke about the sparkling. If you don’t, I won’t spoil it for you but you can Google or Yahoo it, if you really want to know.
The writing was painful to read. The style read like a teenager’s diary, ironically, it would have made more sense had it been written in that way, ala Bridget Jone’s Diary. I would have more easily forgiven the endless ogling that Bella subjects Edward to. The author tries to write him in a sympathetic Byronesque fashion, but he’s simply bad tempered and chauvinistic. He’s not a tragic hero, Edward is just tragically boring. The supporting characters

I’ve had this product for at least 5 years now . I bought one iconic breeze. I liked it so much I bought another. The second one was a newer model in which the covers came off for a more thorough cleaning (nice). My newer model died as a result of a lightning storm. I think I need a new power supply, but can’t find out how or where to replace it. I still have it hoping one day to get it repaired.
I bought another iconic breeze to replace the one damage by lightning. I’ve had that one for 3 years now.
A week or two after I plugged in my first unit, I started dusting, and there was no dust. I was puzzled as to why – there is always dust. Then I remembered I had an iconic breeze in the room.
They work GREAT. But you MUST CLEAN THEM EVERY WEEK. Cleaning is EASY and quick. Every time I clean mine I am surprised to see the amount of dust (or whatever it is) on the silver plates. Also the amount of dust on the plates depends on the location of the iconic breeze in your home and the room size. the one I have in the living room is the (the older model) does not collect as much dust as the one I have in my bedroom.
One time I had a crackling sound problem with the newer model. I not only cleaned the silver plates, but I wiped down the inside. I took a damp paper towel and cleaned the black vertical things and also very gently cleaned the wires – no more crackling sound.
You also need to be sure the plates are thoroughly dry before replacing them, if not you will get a hissing or cracking sound when turning on the unit.
My daughter has 2 of these units at her house and has had no problem. She has had hers for 3 years now. She has animals so the units keep the air fresh smelling (to a degree, you need to be reasonable about what it can do).
The iconic breeze helps with dust and clean air. Notice I said it helps – it is not going to make an entire room dust free; you have to be realistic.
By the way, prior to purchasing my first iconic breeze, I had

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer is about a 12 year old boy who is a genius but the sad thing is, he is also a criminal. One day he and his butler go to a forest and find a drunken fairy. Then they take this fairy book from it and translate it to English and then they figure out there is some sort of fairy Gold.
This books theme is that you should never give up, never stop trying, and always keep your head up. For example, this fairy says Artemis can’t do a certain task, but he still believes he can do it.
I like this book because it always makes me wonder what’s going to happen in the next chapter. I think it would make you have the same feeling. So maybe you should read this book.

I have used this card with my Canon HD video camera for more than a year now. It works perfectly and I have not had any issues at all. I would definitely purchase again.
Solay Around The World
“Suppose you could ask God the most puzzling questions about existence – questions about love and faith, life and death, good and evil. Suppose God provided clear understandable answers…” So begins this foray into theological inanity. The bottom line is simply this: God HAS provided clear, understandable answers to the “most puzzling questions about existence,” but you will not find them here. You will, however, find them in the Bible, the Word of God, and in the teaching of the Church. What you will find in this book are outright falsehoods, half-truths and humanistic wisdom masquerading as spiritual wisdom. The devil will love this book for the confusion it will cause in the unevangelized and uncatechized. For example, let’s take this gem of a lie: A girl poses the question “I am living with my boyfriend. My parents say that I should marry him because I am living in sin. Should I marry him?”
His (”God’s”) reply is, “Who are you sinning against? Not me, because you have done nothing wrong…” Here you have a clear, understandable contradiction of God’s own word: “Flee fornication. Every sin that a man commits is outside the body; but he that commits fornication sins against his own body.” (1 Corinthians 6:18) The Bible calls “living with my boyfriend” fornication, i.e., premarital sex and it is one of the sins that can bar a person from the Kingdom of Heaven. In 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, the Bible says, “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,” {10}”nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.” Jesus also warned: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ’, and will deceive many.” (Matthew 24:4-5) He also said,
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 10:9) or he

Played for just 2 days and the Wii Game CD does not want to come out. When i searched teh internet i found so many people had the same issue. Since we liked the Wii, we decided to get a replacement unit. The replacement also had same issues as teh first one. But unlike the first one the second ejected the CDs after couple of tries.
Returning back for refund now.
Other things you might want to consider.

By default you will get only composite output cable (1 Video + 2 Audio). The new LED TV i bought Sharp 46LE810UN just have only one composite input and i have also noticed that the 2010 model TVs are reducing their composite input and increasing the HDMI input. Though you can buy the Wii component cable (3 Video + 2 Audio) from the market, it is very disappointing to see that Wii does not have HDMI out by default.
#2
Would be better if the Wii has a hard power off switch. Not sure whether this is teh cause of the Game CDs get struck when left it in the console for a long time. Also, the weird thing is that if you do not completely shut off the Wii, the Game CD input CD blinks occasionally.
#3
Wish we could have a remote recharge option available from the console or as additional accessory.

Great book! Never read a book like this before but it really brings to life the [train] traveling circus experience from an insider’s ‘learn as you go’ POV during the Depression era. There is such an ominous feel throughout the entire book that I never expected an ending as such… I actually thought it would be more depressing, but I’m not disappointed.

We used to rent the Rug Doctore for our carpets.. $30 for a day of usage and it only got the carpets kind of clean and clean for a week or so, but we thought that the results were just what we would get.
We finally decided to buy this machine…
Our 1st usage got the carpets cleaner than they had ever been.
And they stayed clean!!! Part of the issue with the Rug Doctor was the padding underneath wasnt getting cleaned, just wet and as you walk on the carpet the dirt comes right up again…
but this thing.. sucks hard and cleans so well! The drying time is minimal also.
Highly recommend this and if you have ever rented the Rug Doctor and think your carpets were clean… try this and you will be amazed!
